Back in March of 2017, I invited my parents, Jerry and Patricia Truett, to interview with me for this podcast. We had a wonderful conversation about my musical journey and how they encouraged and supported me along the way.
I knew at the time that this recording would become a treasure, though I hoped it would be many, many years down the road; to be able to hear their voices and laughter again.
Though this interview is very personal to me, I believe it will also be helpful to piano parents today.

So very sorry for your loss, Shelly. I think you are very wise to have made this wonderful recording, and to also have realized what a treasure your Mom was while she was still with you (which is evident as I listened). Praying that you experience the peace that passes all understanding during this tender time.
